In many organizations, project status values are often different or aligned more closely with the Project Management Institute's project phases (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, Closure).
Having them aligned in this fashion would be beneficial, or possibly add the ability to customize these with a separate page that can control what happens at each stage. So an org can turn off or turn on the functions or checks that happen when a status is selected.
