Based on working within Progressus and applying what our typical clients would need below are two questions regarding Fixed Price projects.  Will Progressus address these in the future?

Fixed Price

  • Scheduled Billings – has to be done individually on each project.  In SL there was a process that generated all scheduled Billings at the same time.  When you have a few projects this is not an issue but if you have 10-20 or 30 projects then it becomes one.  Any client we convert from SL would probably find this cumbersome if they used Scheduled Billings previously.

  • % Complete – The system can calculate % complete and tell you want the Bill amount should be on the first Bill (after that you are out of luck) but it can’t do % complete billing automatically.  It would be great if it worked like SL where you could generate billings automatically based on % complete.  The system would know how much you previously billed and factor that in to tell you what your next billing amount should be.

Percent Complete Billing is now part of Progressus.

It would also be beneficial if the system could provide the % complete based on Budget vs Actual for Resources, items and Expenses at the project and task level which could be used to generate the % complete billing if desired. It should also allow the user to override the calculated percent complete

More requests for % complete in billing functions. Came up again in discovery call.
