In the Project Ledger Entries the retention line amounts shows up as "Sales" Entry Type. The challenge is that when evaluating revenue or "Sale" type entries this should only include invoiced item or credited memo entries, not Retention.
Retention is not a reduction to sales and I believe it should have its own entry Type.
There is a retention Entry field in the Project Ledger Screen for filtering out the retention transactions. This field is not available on the Project Detailed Ledger Entry screen

Business Impact
The issue is that project revenue is not accurate as the total invoiced amount is reduced by Retention and revenue should match revenue in the GL. If Retention had its on Entry type then this would solve the issue. Seems very confusing. |
